PNG to JPG questions
How do I convert PNG to JPG?
Add your PNG files with the box above, check that JPG is selected in Convert to, and press Download. The conversion happens in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.
Will converting PNG to JPG lower the quality?
JPG is a lossy format, so the picture is compressed again when it is saved. Keep the quality between 85 and 95 and the result looks the same as the PNG for almost every photo.
What happens to transparency when I convert PNG to JPG?
JPG cannot be see-through, so transparent areas are filled with a solid colour. It is white by default and you can pick another colour.
Can I convert many PNG files at once?
Yes. Add up to 50 files together, then download them one by one or as a single ZIP.
Is my PNG file uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser on your own device, and your files are never sent to a server. Camera details and GPS location are not carried into the new file.
