Crop PNG images in your browser
PNG (Portable Network Graphics) is a lossless format for screenshots, logos and graphics with see-through areas. It opens in every browser, app and device. This PNG cropper lets you drag a box, lock an aspect ratio, type exact pixels, rotate, flip and straighten, then copy, share or download the result. Nothing is uploaded.
How to crop a PNG image
- Drop your PNG file onto the page, press Choose image, or paste a picture.
- Pick an aspect ratio, or leave it on Free. Drag the box and its handles, or type exact pixel values.
- Check the live preview under the picture. Open Output and guides to change the format, quality or width.
- Press Copy, Share or Download to get your cropped image.
PNG cropping questions
How do I crop a PNG image?
Add your PNG file with the box above, drag the box or type exact pixel values, check the live preview and press Download. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.
Will cropping lower the quality of a PNG?
Cropping only removes pixels, so what is left of your PNG keeps every detail it had. Nothing is resampled unless you set an output width.
Is the cropped PNG saved as PNG?
Yes. With Format set to Original, a PNG goes in and a PNG comes out. You can also choose PNG, JPEG or WebP under Output and guides.
What happens to transparency in a PNG?
See-through areas stay see-through when the result is a PNG or WebP, and circle or rounded corners are see-through too. A JPEG cannot be see-through, so those areas get the background colour you choose.
