Resize JPG images in your browser
JPG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) is the most widely supported photo format. It opens in every browser, app and device. This JPG resizer shows the new size and file size live, keeps proportions, can hit a file size limit and handles up to 50 images at once. Nothing is uploaded.
How to resize a JPG image
- Drop your JPG files onto the page, press Choose images, or paste a picture.
- Pick how to set the size: Pixels, Percent or Preset.
- Check the live preview and the numbers under it. Open Settings for the format, quality or a file size limit.
- Press Download for the current image, or Download all to get every image in one ZIP file.
JPG resizing questions
How do I resize a JPG image?
Add your JPG files with the box above, set a width and height, a percent or a preset, check the live preview and press Download. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.
Will resizing lower the quality of a JPG?
Making a JPG smaller keeps it sharp because it is reduced in steps. Lossy formats are compressed again when saved, and you can set the quality and a largest file size in Settings.
Is the resized JPG saved as JPG?
Yes. With Format set to Original, a JPG goes in and a JPG comes out. You can also choose JPEG, PNG or WebP in Settings.
What happens to transparency in a JPG?
JPG has no see-through areas, so there is nothing to keep.
