Resize PNG images in your browser

PNG (Portable Network Graphics) is a lossless format for screenshots, logos and graphics with see-through areas. It opens in every browser, app and device. This PNG resizer shows the new size and file size live, keeps proportions, can hit a file size limit and handles up to 50 images at once. Nothing is uploaded.

How to resize a PNG image

  1. Drop your PNG files onto the page, press Choose images, or paste a picture.
  2. Pick how to set the size: Pixels, Percent or Preset.
  3. Check the live preview and the numbers under it. Open Settings for the format, quality or a file size limit.
  4. Press Download for the current image, or Download all to get every image in one ZIP file.

PNG resizing questions

How do I resize a PNG image?

Add your PNG files with the box above, set a width and height, a percent or a preset, check the live preview and press Download. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

Will resizing lower the quality of a PNG?

Making a PNG smaller keeps it sharp because it is reduced in steps, and the PNG format keeps every pixel it is given. Making it larger cannot add detail.

Is the resized PNG saved as PNG?

Yes. With Format set to Original, a PNG goes in and a PNG comes out. You can also choose JPEG, PNG or WebP in Settings.

What happens to transparency in a PNG?

See-through areas stay see-through when the result is a PNG or WebP. A JPEG cannot be see-through, so those areas get the background colour you choose.
